The event which began on Sunday, August 9, 2015 had 46 prefects from Estate Grammar School, Ilupeju; Onike Girls Junior High School, Yaba; Ilupeju Senior Secondary School, Ilupeju; Wesley Girls Senior Secondary School, Yaba and Ilupeju Senior Grammar School, Ilupeju camped at The Living Word Camp, Ibeju-Lekki for trainings on Leadership and Peer education.

With veterans like Barrister Taiwo Akinlami, Mr. Kunle Soriyan, Mr. Seun Shobo, Mrs. Kemi Sowemimo, Mrs. Tiwa Soriyan, Mr. Efe Paul Azino, and Miss Tricia Ikponmwonba, the students were exposed to trainings on Sexuality, Leadership and Peer Education, Life Building Skills, Etiquettes, Character Building, Creative Writing, and Career.

According to the Director of the Foundation, Mrs.Osasu Paul-Azino, the essence of the event is to start the raising of effective leadership from early stage so as to make them better leaders in the society. In her words, “there is a fundamental lack of leadership in the schools. This is why we have this first summer camp especially in the public schools, to put these students together in a place, starting with the prefects first because they already have leadership roles in their various schools, train them on leadership and they in turn go back to their schools and influence their peers positively.”
