Hope House

Hope House is a safe house, temporary rehabilitation center for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Since 2008, Hope house has catered to the needs of indigent, pregnant teenagers, and victims of gender based violence, such as rape and domestic violence.

Hope House caters to women and girl survivors, providing the following:

  • Academic Support: We augment academic needs by providing short causes, assisting them to go back to school.

  • Economic Empowerment: We equip survivors with skills through our vocational programs (bead-making, hair dressing,tie-dye etc), and resources to enable them support themselves and their families both in the short term and long term.

  • Healthcare: We provide emergency services and antenatal support.

  • Legal Services:We offer pro bono services to all our clients.

  • Short-term Accommodation: We provide a conducive environment for the beneficiary for a short-term stay of twelve weeks, during which they are provided with three meals daily.

  • Physio-social support: Clients are provided with one and one counselling sessions, group therapy  family sessions and follow-up visits.

Through the services of Hope House, PBO Foundation offers NGOs, charitable organizations and concerned individuals working with the girl-child and women, the opportunity to extend a hand to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. We also work with referring agencies  such as  Lagos State Domestic Violence Response Team (D.S.V.R.T), with reconciliation where necessary.
